Data Axle Nonprofit is excited to announce that Angele Vellake has joined our team as Data Strategy Director! Angele brings over a decade of nonprofit and fundraising data science experience to accelerate our clients’ programs.

As Data Strategy Director, Angele is instrumental in enhancing our clients’ initiatives through data interpretation, visualization, and analysis. She blends academic methods with industry knowledge to generate well-rounded and intuitive data analysis and modeling for nonprofit clients and stakeholders. In her new role, she is excited to enable nonprofits to make data-driven decisions through accurate and actionable analysis.

Angele comes to Data Axle Nonprofit having spent more than 10 years in various data science roles at Blackbaud, including 5 years in Blackbaud’s Target Analytics group working directly with Chuck Longfield. Angele’s previous fundraising experience, gained during her time as a fundraiser at her alma mater, lends her perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by our clients.

Angele earned her BS and MBA at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and she also holds a MS in Computer Information Systems and Data Analytics from Boston University. She and her husband live in the Boston area with their two beloved rescue dogs, Ruby and Pearl.
